Jamie Vardy’s phone to be searched in wife’s libel case

Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy has been dragged into his wife Rebekah Vardy’s libel legal battle with Coleen Rooney as a High court Judge ordered that his phone and and other electronic device could be searched for relevant communication. The Judge also ruled that the phones of those within Mrs Vardy’s management team could be searched.

The case was brought by Rebekah Vardy after Coleen Rooney claimed that she was leaking information from her private Instagram account to the Sun Newspaper.

At a previous hearing, the Judge ordered the parties to settle at mediation. However, after failing to do so there will be a 7 day final hearing at the High Court.
