You might ask yourself "Why should I make a will?"
You should make a will for a number of reasons.  Firstly, it is the best way of making clear your wishes about your property.  Secondly, making a will ensures that your wishes are effected. Finally, having a will makes things easier for those left behind at a difficult time.
We offer a comprehensive, fast and friendly wills and probate service in a relaxed atmosphere. We do our very best to ensure that the advice we offer is easy to understand.

Legal aid for making wills is only available in very limited circumstances.  However, if you don't qualify for legal aid then our typical fee for drafting a single will is only £85.00 plus VAT.   We offer reduced rates for couples making wills at the same time. If your will is particularly complex then we reserve the right to charge a fee based on the time taken to fulfill your instructions.

What is probate?
Probate derives from a fourteenth century Latin verb 'probatum' meaning 'thing proved' and is the name given to the work of distributing the estate (the money and possessions) of a deceased person in accordance with their will or, if they died intestate (without a will), in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Being an executor of a will can be complicated and stressful particularly if it relates to a much missed family member or friend. The rules and regulations relating to probate are manifold and complex. The consequences of failing to distribute an estate in accordance with a will and the law can be serious. Paul Dodds Solicitors are ready, willing and able to assist. Our dedicated and experienced specialist solicitors are able to assist with any size estate to ensure that it is distributed exactly how it was meant to be and in accordance with the law.
