Tatiana Akhmedova has been granted substantial judgments in pursuit of her £453 million divorce award against her ex-husband, Farkhad Akhmedov, a Russian oligarch in a hearing on Wednesday 21st April.

The judgments, made by Mrs Justice Knowles in the High Court, are against the couple’s son, Temur Akhmedov. Temur Akhmedov was found to have worked together with his father to hide hundreds of millions of pounds of assets. This included several mansions, a superyacht(formerly owned by Chelsea Football club’s billionaire owner Roman Abramovich) , a helicopter and an extensive art collection – in order to avoid paying the divorce settlement. This process of hiding the martial assets was initiated through the transferring of assets to a company owned by the couple’s two sons.

Temur was ordered to pay his mother £75 million and labelled
“a dishonest individual who will do anything to assist his father” by the judge.

Tatiana Akhmedova was awarded a 41.5% share of her ex-husband’s fortune by another British judge in 2016. But when only £5 million was paid out the matter rumbled on.
