Judges are becoming more restrained in their use of the power to make decisions that overturn government policies. That is according to the Lord Chancellor, Robert Buckland.
The Lord Chancellor stated that Judge’s should not be making political decisions as he prepares to develop legislation that will limit the use of Judicial Review.
The Judicial Review and Courts Bill will allow a law struck down by the courts to remain in place until the law is amended.
