Mr Justice Williams has led a working group to find that many medical experts are concerned over how they can mange a busy NHS schedule around a rigid family court system.

The impact of Covid-19 has been that hearings have been remote. Justice Williams hopes that will be a fixture to stay post-covid at least on the part of medical experts to prevent them ‘trekking from Newcastle to the Royal Courts of Justice…’

There has also been support from a Covid recovery group led by Lord Justice Baker who has urged to make remote attendance to hearings by experts permanent.
