A settlement has been reached in one of the largest awards made in Family Court. In 2017 the Russian billionaire Farkhad Akhmedov was ordered to pay his ex-wife Tatiana Akhmedova £453 million by the High Court.

The billionaire had spent 4 years fighting the High Court judgement but has now come to a settlement that includes “cash and art”.

The family’s modern art collection is estimated to be worth $112 million and includes pieces by Andy Warhol.

The High Court had previously found that Farkhad Akhmedov and the couples son had attempted to put assets beyond the reach of Tatiana Akhmedova but the son was order to pay his mother £75 million.
